100 N Main Case Study

Restoring a Legacy

About the 100 N Main

The $261 million renovation project of the 100 North Main Street Building, Memphis’ tallest skyscraper, is currently underway. This ambitious project aims to restore the 37-story, 579,000-square-foot historic structure with a vision for mixed-use development that includes apartments, a hotel, business offices, and the much anticipated return of the iconic revolving restaurant.

The redevelopment is planned in two phases with completion expected by 2026. Snyder Environmental, in a subcontract agreement with Cleveland Construction, is responsible for critical components of the restoration, including asbestos abatement, lead paint stabilization, and universal waste removal.

The project meets the DBE (Disadvantaged Business Enterprise) participation goal of 25%, supporting the goals of the Downtown Memphis Commission to ensure inclusive economic growth and equitable opportunities for local businesses. Snyder Environmental and its partners are playing a vital role in making this project an example of both urban revitalization and community support.

The first phase is scheduled for completion by early 2025, with Snyder Environmental working in close coordination with Cleveland Construction to meet this timeline.
